Region 7 Scholarship Information & Application
This is the fifth year for awarding grants from the Region 7 Scholarship Fund, which begun with moneys collected by the LOC of the 2003 VISA Cup. The scholarships awarded from this money are for current gymnasts who will NOT be competing in NCAA gymnastics.
Two grants, of $1,000 each, will be awarded this year, for the 2009-2010 academic year. Applications should be sent to Lynn Perrott. A commission of three of the Regional Administrative Committee members will be making the final decision on the recipients. Grant recipients will be announced in May.

VANAWGJ Judges Cup was held at Ocean Tumblers in Chesapeake this past weekend, Feb. 20-22, 2009. The results are:
- Level 4 - Ages 6-7, Age 8, Age 9, Ages 10-11, Ages 12 & up
- Level 5 – Ages 7-8, Age 9, Age 10, Ages 11 & up
- Level 6 – Ages 7-11, Ages 12-14, Ages 15 & up
- Level 7 - Junior Age Group, Senior Age Group
- Level 8 – Junior Age Group, Senior Age Group
- Level 9 - All Ages

Information for Clubs on the Tyson Fitness Challenge
Attention club owners, find out how you can get your club signed up for the Tyson Fitness Challenge through USAG. The following PowerPoint presentation from USAG outlines all the steps.
Hotel Information for JO Nationals 2009
Region 7 is unable to book a block of hotel rooms this year, so clubs will need to make their own reservations. If you think you will be going to JO Nationals or the National Invitational Tournament, we suggest that you make reservations as soon as possible as the hotels will fill quickly. Remember that our regional meet is one week later than the rest of the regions.
You can reserve rooms through National Travel Systems (NTS) beginning Feb. 12. The following document lists the hotels through NTS, as well as the rates quoted by NTS. (www.ntssportstravel.com)
Be sure to pay close attention to the terms and agreements with NTS including penalties for canceling reservations.
